Pics upon completion PLEASE.
I've got a VW steering damper on mine due to the sidecar but it's
gawdawful ugly so this one just might be the ticket.

It's a dandy hydraulic unit that has 7 adjustment detents from mild to
stiff. The stroke is about 3 1/4". It has an 8mm pivoting mounting stud
on the body and an 8mm rubber grommeted eyelet on the shaft.

I'm planning on mounting it on the left side of the bike so I can reach
down and adjust it on the fly while keeping my right hand on the
throttle. At first I was thinking of mounting it with a fore-aft
orientation, but at full left lock the body interferes with the front
brake cable. It looks as though an across-the-frame orientation may work

out better with respect to clearance to other components. I'll have to
fab up a triangular bracket (flat plate) that ties into the bottom
triple clamp with two bolts and protrudes aft an inch or two. To anchor
the body via the mounting stud, it looks like I can mount a split clamp
to the left crashbar about 2-3 inches outboard from the top frame mount.

I have a split handlebar clamp in my 20-year jar salvaged from an
aftermarket windshield that is made from some sort of super-tough nylon.

It has a bronze threaded insert cast into it that is already threaded to

take the mounting stud on the damper. I'll have to open up the hole from

7/8" to 1" to fit the crashbar, but it may be just the ticket. Another
option I'm considering is purchasing a split shaft collar from the
bearing house and drilling/tapping a hole for the stud.

Hoping to be riding soon at illegal speeds sans the "weave". I'll report

back with the results.
