It is a bit difficult. Mainly because of the fine threads and
the fact that you have to get the swingarm lined up right so the
pins will go in straight so the threads will start correctly. I
just push the bolts in and then wiggle the swingarm until the
pin feels straight and give it a try. Usually takes a while. If
you aren't sure if the threads are good, try to screw the bolts
in with the swingarm out of the bike, you should be able to get
it started accurately that way.

I borrowed the tap from Greg Bender (thanks again Greg) and chased the threads because I thought that maybe powder coating on the threads may have contributed. But I'm still having trouble with that side. Anybody have tips on getting things to line up? I am putting it back on with the wheel still attached (left it on when I took it apart to pull the trans.)
