Cool, JU. Where did you get the foam? Was it an easy job to remove > the
cover and re-rivet in place?

The cover is glued-on, a bugger to pull loose the first time. The
riveted front edge I reglued down also...has not moved in two years now.
You only need to undo the front 3/4's of the cover, leave the rear edge
and sides alone.
I used 3M weatherstrip glue (Yellow) to glue it back down. I looked
for extra foam in the "archives" but I must have trashed the extra. I
get it from a closeout joint in Fargo. I'll check with you on my next
trip in a month or so.

There is plenty of good foam on the seat now. The trick is to build it
up from the bottom in the middle between the existing foam and the pan.
A 3-4 inch long piece of firm/stiff foam about 2" thick and not too wide
is all that's needed. You need foam that will not "compress" with the
pressure of regluing it. Took me three tries with progressively
thicker/firmer foam to get it "flat".

You might find you need to raise the front up on the mounting to
compensate for to the raised middle or you will feel like you are
sliding down hill. Also you will find when you raise the front up on the
mounting bolt you need to drop/taper the foam on the front edge by
taking some off the bottom so the front edge of the seat is not higher
than the tank.

*** The above modifications are only recommended for longer legged
riders who find themselves on the back half of the seat. If you sit in
the middle now....enjoy and carry on.

Later,
JU
