I just read Pats post and agree, the reading itself is not really that
important, just that they are within 10-15 psi. They should be somewhere
around 150 psi (I think that's what mine were) but anyhting over 100 should
be good.
About the springs in the distributor...one of them is supposed to be tight
(under tension) as the distrubtor rests, the other has an elongated loop on
the end that is supposed to be loose. this helps set the static and at-idle
timing. It's possible they could be weak. It's cheap insurance to replace
them.
