Well, I'll tell you, it looks like someone has been at the West Virginia
roads with dynamite and a fire hose. Rt 250 from Monterey to
Huttonville, normally smooth and fast, was all patches and loose pea
gravel. Route 20 from New Martinsville to Cambria or so was a disaster
area; the whole outside half of the roads undermined and sagging from
the floods, with potholes that could swallow..say..an 18" rim. There
were so many "Rough Road", "Loose Gravel", "Bump", "Dip", and "Falling
Rock" signs that you couldn't see the scenery sometimes.

The one I liked was the big orange "BUMP - 1000 feet ahead!", followed
by "BUMP - 500 feet ahead!" like it was Ruby Falls or Rock City or
something. I expected to see Pedro inviting me to The Bump. After the
second sign I wanted to get off and push the bike, maybe get a safety
harness or an airbag. Luckily we made it OK.

Maybe they could just fix the bump instead of advertising it so
heavily...
