Don't be like my friend with the classic, unmolested '66 Mustang GT
Fastback a few years ago. He had a little over 200,000 miles on the
car, and had never done any serious work to it; was real proud of the
car. He drove into work one day, and mentioned that he'd had his first
problem ever with the car; the oil pressure gauge had quit working. How
did he know that it quit working? Because for 34 years it had indicated
50 PSI and suddenly now was indicating 0, so he needed to replace it, it
obviously wasn't operating correctly.....The car lasted three more trips
back and forth to work (tough engines, those old Fords), and then seized
up tighter than Dick's hatband.
Now I wouldn't suspect you of the same type of thinking, of course, I
just recount the tale for its entertainment value....
