The groove made by the float bowl cap is pretty easy to remove and takes less that 2 minutes vs adding filler then sanding anyway.
The accelerator pumps are the ticket when is comes to starting the bike. A few twists of the throttle and she'll fire right up. I never tickle the floats. |
GF book so I was hoping to find them. Where do they live in the carb,
and are they an available item?
They screw directly into the bottom of the carb body. The cap that holds the float bowl to the carb threads onto the pump. If your nut is a large aluminum one you should have the pumps. If it's a 2 piece steel nut you've got no pumps. The only advantage I've seen with them is ease of starting. I've seen them for sale on ebay. Domiracer.com is has some Dellorto parts too.
