Does anyone know what there are 2 kinds of handlebars? Is it because the police bikes needed to clear the fairing, or was it so they could control the bike with one had better? I have the police bars but they feel kind of odd being bent inward so much. Do any of you prefer the police bars? why? |
The police bars go with the police seat and the police windshield.
The police seat is a sprung solo saddle and sits way high up relative to
the bars. The windshield is necessary with the police bars because if
you don't have it, you will constantly be fighting the wind in the
upright position you'll be in.
The combination of windshield, footboards, sprung seat, and police bars
works. Matter of fact, it makes the bike feel EXACTLY like an old
Harley panhead dresser, which is exactly what the police of that day
were used to and what Guzzi was trying to provide them.
But unless you have the whole package, I wouldn't recommend the police
bars...
