Does anyone know what there are 2 kinds of handlebars? Is it because the

police bikes needed to clear the fairing, or was it so they could
control the bike with one had better? I have the police bars but they
feel kind of odd being bent inward so much. Do any of you prefer the
police bars? why?

Actually there are two types of civilian bars, USA and European, besides
the Police "cowhorns". The European bars are narrower than the USA
style. It depends on the rider. I had stock bars on my first
Ambassador, and they put the rider in the proper position, with a slight
forward lean, weight on the thighs. It was so comfortable that I would
ride until I went on reserve, stop and fill without getting off, and
take off to ride more.
When I bought an Eldo, I had the dealer put on police bars, and I hated
them, because they made me sit upright, my tail bone taking all the
abuse. I couldn't last more than 30 minutes before the pain got to me.
Same reason I find the current cruises to be very uncomfortable. My
Centauro has Jackal bars now, and they are perfect, and the Ambo has USA
bars, also very comfortable.
