I had an XS750, a late 1977. It was my first shaftie.
It was very smooth and had a nice growl, but that
middle cylinder ran very hot, the cam chain stetched
like rubber (skinny little thing!), and it didn't go
around turns very well. I like my guzzi's a lot
better!
