I have trued lots of wheels over the years. Wire wheel the threaded end of
the spokes. Take a small paint brush and some anti-seize, lightly lube the
threaded ends. That will be all you need. Your ready to install the
spokes.

My buddy Joseph is ready to lace new rims onto his Sears Allstate (Puch)
hubs and is uncertain (as am I) as to what should be used to lube the
stainless steel spokes with during assembly. Buchanan's sent me two
little bottles of "special" lube for my s.s spokes and nipples, but he
will be using nickle plated brass nipples. Should he use motor oil,
bearing grease, anti-seize, or? What do y'all use?
