Charlie,
I'm no expert, having only laced and trued three times in 40 years of
riding. The first two were a long time ago and I used bearing grease.
This time I chose anti-sleeze. Don't know what's right or recommended.

My buddy Joseph is ready to lace new rims onto his Sears Allstate (Puch) hubs and is uncertain (as am I) as to what should be used to lube the stainless steel spokes with during assembly. Buchanan's sent me two little bottles of "special" lube for my s.s spokes and nipples, but he will be using nickle plated brass nipples. Should he use motor oil, bearing grease, anti-seize, or? What do y'all use? Charlie http://www.loopframeguzzi.com/ |
