Mid Ohio has some vendors with old plates, pretty reasonable as I
recall.
I originally put a historic plate on my bike (in VA) so that I could get
it sorted before having to deal with inspections, pretty good deal, $10
one time. I haven't let the restrictions slow me down too much, I
figure that once I'm out of VA no one knows what the rules are anyway.
Also, I think there is some loophole about riding to/from a rally, or
for test driving. That said, this may be the year I get a proper
liscence plate, town tag, inspection sticker, and whatever other 2005
memorabilia "they" want me to have.

No historic plates for motorcycles in North Carolina but for any bike 25 years or older you can run a plate from the year model of your bike. Anyone have a 1970 North Carolina motorcycle plate laying around? Ken |
