OK, OK.....I am convinced :-) , I'll keep pluggin' away at this. I really don't have much of an excuse not to, as I live close to one of the best Loop mechanics in the state... Neil "Maynard" Hemenway. If I get in a bind I could certainly cal lon his expertise......
I aslo have fantasys of going to Mark's MG Classics and picking up one of his classics and buzzing home. He's got a California II there that I would love to have. But the thought of being a eunuch after I got home does not appeal to me.

Hey Todd, I'm in exactly the same boat as you. I ride the Breva while I try to figure out what makes these loops go. but I wouldn't give up the wrenching for anything else. sure it's frustrating when you don't know what you're doing. but when it works it feels so good. plus eventually you will learn it and then you will be able to depend on your mech skills in future. Although I too dream of being able to just go out to LA and pick up a nice fully functioning restored bike from Mark it will just have to remain a po' boy's dream for now. gotta save money for the parts to get these loops going!
