Would anyone know what the thread diameter & pitch is for the spigot
that the petcock threads into? I think I read here a while back that it
is 10mm x 1mm - sound right? I have to do a repair to the paint on my
tank - it bubbled up around ther filler neck. While I was at it, I
wanted to purchase a tap & chase out the threads in my tank - one side
was buggered up & damaged a petcock, and dollars to a donut, it's going
to bite me in the ass when I start to mess with it. Any help
appreciated!

The ones I made for my Eldo have been leak/weep-free for over 3 years.
They
are made from a sheet Viton. I use hole punches (got metric ones now)
and an
old gasket as a template. They go for $.50 each since the Viton is
pretty
expensive stuff. I've found two versions of Ambo/Eldo petcocks, Orlandi
('sugar cube' style) and 'other'. Tell me which one you have, and I can
make them up.
And yes, I'm making millions!!!

Be advised....
There are two versoins of the Guzzi petcock.. The V700 are different
than Ambo/Eldo ones.. as I understand.
I got some rubber ones from a lister. Haven't put them in yet....

Hi Alan:
I've got a shop making me a bunch of teflon ones. They won't break down
like the rubber ones and are self lubricating. You won't have to strong
arm
the petcock open.
I should have them in a week. The price will be $4.00 including
postage.
