Ted.. timing chain?... or generator belt? on an Eldo? you remove the
belt cover and top pully comes off with spacer, shims for tension... you
mentioned 'timing', so if you're talking chain, you have to remove the
'big' nut as I call it (26mm)... there's a tool you can use to hold the
shaft, or you can fashion a makeshift tool. Then remove the lower engine
frame bolt, then the timing chain cover... it's been awhile... I'll look
around...there's a detailed description on one of the guzzi sites (maybe
the mgnoc site)... other's will chime in I'm sure.
