Rejetting for colder weather may help, though I'm not sure what would
help. Maybe a bit larger pilot jet?
Used to ride my first Morini down to 30*F or so (back in '85 or so), but
the coldest I've had the Ambo out in was 42*F. Just don't enjoy riding
in frigid temps even with warm gear. If you don't enjoy it, why do it?
Cheers,

That being said (and no more), my Eldo is cold-natured, much more so than my FI Centauro. On mornings in the mid-to-high 20's, sometimes I have to leave it on "choke" (so to speak) for 10 miles or more before it will behave and stop spitting back through the carbs on deceleration. When it gets colder, I'm afraid it may never warm up, without somehow cutting off the airflow to the cylinders. Some sort of leg-shield in front of the cylinders would seem to be in order. Lannis |
