went away - so i dunno..

First I thought it was the brake cable knocking against the fender stay, No. Then maybe the fender not tightened down enough on the bottom fork tube, No. Then maybe the head above the triple tree, No. I can't find it either. When I hit a big bump sounds like something is going to bust loose. I *think* its when the forks extend rather than compress, but I could be wrong. Any ideas on what it might be? It's not the triple clamps or steering head, that would've been too easy. Besides, it seems to handle just fine and I cannot reproduce the noise parked in the driveway. I never have taken a set of forks apart, so any advice on that front is welcome too. Does anyone have a spare top-tube cap so I can make the special tool that is apparently required? Aren't motorcycles fun?
