Steve, Also, this, what do you think of your Paso? I lusted after this bike
also, among many others, mainly because it was a weird Ducati. Bob

Hello everyone! Steve Hampton here - I too am a new member, but it seems
I'm far removed here in southwest Arkansas from the mainstream Guzzi
population! Like Charlie, I'm an Italian motorcycle fan. I've owned a 1990
Ducati 906 Paso for many years and early this year traded my BMW R1100S for
a 1993 Moto Guzzi Daytona. I love the Daytona more than any motorcycle I've
ever ridden - it's beautiful, it's fast, it handles great, it sounds great,
and for the first 45 minutes, it's heaven to ride - BUT on a long trip it
just KILLS my 56 year old body! That's why I decided to buy my 1970
Ambassador - just last weekend - from a fellow named William Griffith near
here in Farmerville, LA. So far, I've just been cleaning the bike up - have
ordered a POR 15 kit for the tank that's leaked around the cap and bubbled
the paint up. The carburetors need cleaning and I'll retorque the heads and
adjust the valves, but the old gal runs pretty well, so I hope to mostly
just use it for local puttin' - at least until I find a good old sidecar to
add to it - and do a "rolling restoration".

I've really enjoyed the loop site - lots of expertise here among the
members! I've spent some time reading the archives to avoid those dumb
"what kind of oil / tires" questions.

Thanks for your time and hard work!

Steve Hampton
