For those of us without a late-model bike every day IS a Loop day. Of
course I don't ride every day, but on those days that I do there isn't
another bike I'd rather be on. I am pre-'75 Guzzi specific by choice -
there are plenty of new bikes that I can afford, but none "trip my
trigger" (except maybe the 750 Breva). Maybe if I were a more aggressive
rider something newer would be better suited, but I'm not and they
aren't. I am looking forward to getting the V7 Sport on the road though.
"Perfection" is too sanitary, dull and boring for me!

As curators of our Loops and members of the "brotherhood", it is up to us to preserve the species, control the "high" we get when dispensing relief and maintain patience with a nonunderstanding public. Late model bike ownership only reinforces our decision to support a vintage way of travel for those days our mindset is right. Contrary to popular opinion not everyday is a perfect Loop day. Sometimes I'm a little too wound up and not as forgiving and the late model is the best choice when I'm looking for perfection. When I'm in a more laid back mood the loop is the medicine of choice. |
