One set of points, but two lobes on the distributor camshaft which lift or
open those points to create spark for each cylinder. One of his distributor
shaft cam lobes was obviously machined incorrectly and has been generating
this error since day one. I can't believe such an error came from cam wear.
Hard to believe that such a machining error got past the QC folks. :-)
