This one has evolved into two questions from one.
The original question was should we leave Topica because of problems
with spam. I'm one who goes to the Topica website to read & submit
messages, so I have no problems with spam; I don't see it. A problem I
have with Topica is that it seems when I try to send a personal email to
someone on the list (by clicking their name) I don't think it goes
through-I say that because I never get a reply from those I send
messages to (maybe they get it but think it's spam so it gets deleted?
Maybe they don't want to reply to me?). Another thing that is an
annoyance with Topica is that it always scrambles up an e-mail address
you put in the text of a message.
The second question seems to be a personal decision on whether to
continue to participate in the LoopFrame List. I plan on staying. I hope
that I haven't been too obnoxious with my public ridicule of
IndyDiamond, which really is nothing more than some friendly banter. I
try to contribute when I have something to add. I'm sorry and rather
suprised to hear that someone on the list has been ripped off by another
member, and I don't blame Gary for being sore about it.
If the decision comes down to a move, is it possible to bring the
archive with us?
