. Hello Matt Moore in Monroe ,

I ususally (always) use Bosch or generic "MICRO" size relays. A good
double sided foam or gel tape applied to CLEAN surfaces works very well
. I run a seperate 12 or 14 gage back to the battery and use an inline
mini fuse at the battery for protection.
If you are using a later halogen type headlight ,you can very
carefully bend the terminals out flat and use insulated individual
connectors . The extra clearance helps keep any pressure from the wires
against the fuses from causing fuseblock meltdown. It is best to do what
you can from making a Chernobyl out of the headlight .
I think you have my phone number in the event you have a question or
two. There is a good source for the electrical parts in Troy Mich .

anybody have any suggestions on where to mount/put relays in the
headlight shell?
I have used the extra metal pieces in the horn kit (flat pieces with
holes at either end 3/4"x2.5-3"). I bent one end to go behind the fuse
panel. The other end I mount the relay to. They are angled a little over
90 degrees, so they stay to the outside of the shell and out of the way
of the headlight. (these are the hi/lo relays for the headlight). I
still need to mount the horn relay. I was thinking of hiding it in the
area at the pointy end of the shell, behind the fuse panel, but then
it'd be hard to get at.
There is only room of the side brackets for the one relay, otherwise I'd
double 'em up.

Any ideas?

BTW, the reason I did not relocate the fuse panel et.al. to the
toolboxes is because I am using a repro original wiring harness because
I didn't want to have to figure everything out by myself. :)
