Hi Rex,
I think Tom Bowes is running that combo on his Ambassador . Along with
it he is using HD Progressive front springs. Tom is not quite 230 ,but
he pushes 200 and he really loads the bike up rom time to time. It
seems to work great for him .
Glad ol Popeye is in such good hands.
Maybe Popeye and Dave's (Now Jason's)old bike "Olive " would make a nice
couple ! Olive seemed like she was in fine form when I saw her in
Minnestoa last year. Saw Popeye a couple weeks later in Traverse City
MI.
Never really put the two together till just now . I just named my 1975
850T "Bluto" !
See ya at the rallies Rex .

Happy New Year everyone. I am getting ready to put new shocks on "Popeye" (my '72 Eldo California) and was thinking about Progressive Suspension. I want a pretty good pair of shocks without remortgaging my house. I got a part number from the Progressive Suspension website (412-4211C) which it calls the heavy-duty option. Any comments or experiences with these? I am 230#. It recommends the heavy duty for riders over 200#. Would like to know your thoughts on these or other suggestions for a reasonably priced alternative. Thanks in advance. Rex Clark |
