No, bodies are black with exposed chrome springs. I like the look of the
originals. I will probably look at alternates.

Allan:

Were the bodies chrome plated?

If so, they're the Konis. Eiter way, though, you're probably better
off buying new shocks thanrebuilding the old ones. If you get new,
get tem in the longer LeMans length. ets you some much-needed ground
clearance.

GF

Thanks, you are the only response to my shock inquiry. I don't have any
idea
who made the shocks. I have three pairs, in varying states or rust. I have
only really glanced at them for the first time and realized they look like
they come apart easily. What did you use for oil? what supplement?

Which shocks?

I've "rebuilt" two sets of the Konis put on Eldo police bikes and
some V7 Sports.

You can't get new parts, so I took apart several sets, used the best
seals, put in fresh oil, and they worked fine. (They're adjustable,
too.)

The procedure is in the V7 Sport supplement (or is it the T supplement?).

GF

Anybody rebuild original guzzi shocks? More to the point are seals
available? Any idea what kind of oil and how much? I have a beautiful
pair,

but one has leaked a fair amount of oil. I haven't taken it apart yet, but
looks easy. Maybe it didn't like laying down for a year or two....
