Getting an Eldo in the first place might be easier . You get a 5 speed
and better gearing in the bargain. Then again the Ambo is a pretty good
bike as it is .

The best way to get an 850 however is most likely STARTING with an 850
.

I've heard of two methods -- one is to go with an 850 eldo crank,
making it a stroker 850. This uses a Eldo 850 crank & pistons but
I believe it will use the 750 con rods and jugs.

the other method is a big bore kit. this uses the stock 750 crank,
oversized jugs and pistons. it may need machine work to the cases
to fit the oversized jugs. I have a iron lined big bore 850 kit.
It seems happy with the stock jetting, etc.

getting my ducks in a row to pull the heads off my ambo and send them to

moto international to have the exhaust nut repaired. I also need to pull

the jugs to replace the base gasket. As long as I'm in there what are
some of the changes I can do to help it up with more power. I read
stories about guys that had changed there ambo to a 850. is this just
changing out pistons and jugs or am I opening a can of worms and need to

increase the carb, different heads, etc? thanks in advance. mike
