Someone was making a tool for that. A small spanner that would fit, came in
a set of 2. Maybe on Mg's website? was it Stephen making 'em? Umm, not sure
but they are out there. I think they were cheap enough that even I thought
of the purchase.

i have some play in my front end, and figured i'd tighten the lockrings.. is
there a way to do this without removing top linking plate? or am i
approaching this all wrong? i can't get either steering tube lockring or
lock cap to move with a spanner from the side...
