Bob, I don't remember which issue I saw it in, or if I
saw it in the MGNOC at all now that I think about it -
I have it reprinted from the Tips book vol. 1 p.29. Do
the static timing for the left cylinder as per the
manual, then mark your crankcase for 10' btdc for the
right cylinder. Set your timing light for that
cylinder. If it lights too soon, the point gap is too
small, and vica versa. Adjust the gap accordingly,
then re-adjust the left cylinder, which will now be
off just a smidgen. Then re-check the right cylinder
again, ad infinitum. Each time it will get more
precise, until your Guzzi reaches nirvana.
