Hi Chris,
Sorry to hear about Brandy and Candy, some guys have all the luck. But we can take consolation in knowing that ole' Valentino is stuck riding mere Hondas while we get the good stuff! :-)
The only mention of u-joint care I see in Guzziology is to "add an ounce (30 cc) of gear lube to the area around the big-twin u-joint." "This won't lube the sealed u-joint but will keep the seals moist, ward off moisture damage, and let me know when the boot has failed by causing a big messy leak." Above that he does mention "removing the u-joint every other winter or so for a thorough servicing." By that he means disassembly, cleaning, relubing and reassembly. Cheers,
Charlie

Thanks for the info fellas. What about the u-joint? I presume one would pack that with grease, but I didn't see anything in the premier manual or guzziology. What type to use? I managed to solve my dual disc spacer issue yesterday. I was getting a little rub on the left caliper. With a little shim on the caliper bolts, everything runs smooth. As for the "college girls that pay their way by stripping and they helped do some wrenching and got greasy" Charlie asked about. Well Brandy and Candy were picked up by a factory race team. That Valentino Rossi sure has a great staff.
