WOW..you too. Popped the tops off of my Ambo yesterday to find the
chrome starting to come off around the top and a small spot missing mid
way down one cylinder the size of a pencil eraser.
No way around it, replace them now or risk the bearings getting ground
up on the chrome flakes drifting in the oil. I caught mine
before the crank was damaged. Look for dark spots on your bearings,
which lead to scoring if not caught in time and continue to build up.
