I agree with everyone. Have Andy fix the seal and ride
it. The worn parts will function properly for years
before giving you any real problems.
Just enjoy it.

But just some words of caution: When you crack one of these motors open, even when it's a motor that has been running ok, you will likely find: pitted lifters and/or cam chrome cylinder plating worn through at the top Oil pump shafts scored Sludge trap full of grey putty/scored rod bearings rough looking exhaust valves/worn guides All of which add up to ca-ching if you want the motor fixed right. 73 Eldo (motor in the frame!) 78 T3/949 |
