I agree with everyone. Have Andy fix the seal and ride
it. The worn parts will function properly for years
before giving you any real problems.
Just enjoy it.
I vote you keep the bike too. But just some words of caution:
When you crack one of these motors open, even when it's a motor that has
been running ok, you will likely find:
pitted lifters and/or cam
chrome cylinder plating worn through at the top
Oil pump shafts scored
Sludge trap full of grey putty/scored rod bearings
rough looking exhaust valves/worn guides
All of which add up to ca-ching if you want the motor fixed right.
