BTW, I got a needle-bearing replacement for the original ball bearing setup from Sport Cycles in New York. It fit in the hole without enlarging it, which would be necessary if you use a throwout bearing for an Eldo.
Just for grins I sent Sport Cycles an Email asking about this bearing... They said they don't have any such animal... Any idea where and what it was that you got to work?

Guzzi calls it 'cage complete'. Two tiny washers with a small needle cage. Cost is about $20! pn 12 08 70 01
