The front crank seal goes into the front timing cover from the inside, so the timing cover must be removed in order to replace it. Correct me if I'm wrong! Cheers, Charlie. |
I can only speak for my bike but after I pulled the generator belt and
pulley off I got a small puller and removed the crankshaft sleeve- which has
the flange for the generator pulley-came off with almost no effort.
Then I was able to see the seal, it came right out with little trouble,just
was careful not to mess anything else up. The lip is in the rear to keep the
seal from going too far and falling out back of the cover. Really is easy, I
just took my time.
