To add to Patrick's ideas, Always start with a know good batt. don't assume
it's good 'cause it's new. Probably is ok, but.....
I would also check your charging output.
Does it slow start, after riding for a while? If it only happens after
sitting maybe you have a drain on the battery.

Inspect your timing. Too much advance at idle can slow down and stop a
starter motor.
Test another starter in this bike. Consider disassembly and cleaning of
the starter and to ensure there are no burned up armature wirings.
