Mark,
Early Ambassadors were basically 700's with 750 cylinders. As you know the
V700's only came with red tanks and grey fenders. When they started the
Ambassadors in 1969 they went to three colours. White, Red and black. They
added pinstripes as well. If you have Greg's book you can see a pic of them.
Also....early Ambassadors were denoted with the "A" in front of the 12xxx
serial number.
