Bob,
The degree of ease or difficulty depends on how handy you are and what
tools you end up needing. If you're fairly good with a wrench it should
be no big deal to get the forks off the bike. Removing the collars that
contain the seals can be a pain if you don't have the wrench, but
sometimes they just come apart without a lot of sweating and straining.
The seals themselves are nothing special, just generic metric oil seals.
Putting the forks back on the bike can be challenging without the aid of
the tool to draw the tubes back up into the upper clamp.
