Do as I say, not as I do.....if you haven't taken the time to grease your
rearwheel drive splines lately...do so!
Pulled the ass end off the bike to check it over before my trip next week to
Sturgis....splines were dry and wore out(I could have sworn it hadn't been
that long since I lubed them...)....ujoint has play so it'll be changed
also...went ahead an jerked the tranny out while I was there because of
intermitted clutch drag....again, very dry clutch hub splines and wear on
the hub from the clutch plates(clutch teeth look okay)...damn, I knew I
should have bought that hub tool from Stephen Brenton...:-(...anyway, I'll
be putting another hub on too.....first time I've pulled a tranny without
also pulling the motor, worked out pretty good....
