Its normal for a worn out suspension, I doubt the 31 year old shocks are up
to the task at this point. A loop frame with decent suspension will handle
quite well.
A spacer in the front can help if the springs are not shot. If the springs
are shot it wont do a lot of good but its cheep to try so there is nothing to
lose but your time. I'm using the Wirth springs from MG Cycle in my Tonti
front end, if they make a set for a loopframe I would recommend them.
Try moving the preload on the back & see if it helps. Progressive has a rear
shock that sells for around $180-200 that works really well, I don't have the
part # or the spring rate I use with me but I be glad to get the info if you
want.
