Didn't police specials have right hand shift? Plus I thought that there were dealers that imported "police" bikes that were sold for civilian use. Were those the extact same as the copper's? For example, I don't think a civilian H-D police bike has the same engine setup(cam, ignition,) from the factory. Did MG get involved like that or did they just throw them out there as is with all the same specs.? Later, Kev |
My "police" Eldo has left hand shift. As far as I know, the LAPD models
sold thru the dealerships were equipped the same way. That's why I
started this post. The bike I have has the lever for the siren. That
would seem to be an odd accessory for a bike sold to the general public.
I am curious whether there are any specific details that would
differentiate a cop's motor from John Q. Publics bike.
P.S. hey Kev, you need to come out and check out the new additions.
