Hey Dennis,
Growls it does, K&N's, rejetted carbs, Valtek mufflers, sounds great and
has nice pull too.
I thought about trying an 80/90 weight gear oil, but at 1st heard it
doesn;t make a difference in these loopframe forks as they are not
valved, that the oil is just there for lube purposes. Most of the folks
I heard from, including the restorers, said to use auto trans oil so I
went with it. Think someone else said they tried 50 weight motor oil
and it seemed to smooth things out. Confused. Guess I will just try
the 80/90 wt gear oil and see what happens?

If you are unhappy with the front end, I would suggest that you drain the forks, and replace the fluid with something with more viscosity. Easy enough to do. Dennis Jones |
