Hi Keith,
You should get some recognition for persistence. I know it's been a long, hard
battle for you to get that Ambo sorted out. Hope you have a trouble free riding
season.
Pete
Growls it does, K&N's, rejetted carbs, Valtek mufflers, sounds great and has nice pull too. I thought about trying an 80/90 weight gear oil, but at 1st heard it doesn;t make a difference in these loopframe forks as they are not valved, that the oil is just there for lube purposes. Most of the folks I heard from, including the restorers, said to use auto trans oil so I went with it. Think someone else said they tried 50 weight motor oil and it seemed to smooth things out. Confused. Guess I will just try the 80/90 wt gear oil and see what happens? Keith Ruff 71 Police Ambassador - NJ Dennis Jones wrote:
