Not to fire up the oil thread even more but I've run Mobil 1 in all eleven of
my motorcycles, five cars of various vintage, three old farm tractors, 4
old Gravely mowers used all summer on our flower farm plus a Gravely riding
mower. No seal problems at all but if it was leaking a little dino oil
before it will leak a little more synthetic. I believe that I read on a
brochure that the new Mobil 1 is a different formula than the older version
and the seal problem has been addressed. If you want to see what Mobil 1
will do for an air cooled engine try it in your Gravely. We run ours really
hard and they run a lot cooler with the synthetic.
