Yeh, well thats the holy grail with the exhaust systems isn't it. The
ongoing battle with those nuts loosening. I put up with it until last year,
high temp rtv made them stay put for a long time. This is a tip from the
list, maybe apply the same to these ss ones? Couldn't hurt.
Why would the lock nut add to the loosening? 'cause I got sucked into that
whole thing. Never seemed to have helped. There's some cash down the drain.

The SS exhaust for my Alfa came with SS bolts/nuts/lockwashers since
the sections have bolt-together flanges. I've found that over time, the
SS bolts have the tendency to disappear. I think it is from the
vibration and the heat. To remedy the problem, I have double nutted
them all.
I wonder if the these SS exhaust nuts might do the same (meaning loosen
up over time) especially if there is a lock nut on them.
