Dave,
The powdercoat itself will inhibit the electrical conductivity from
motor to ground. Mask the areas where your motor mounts to the frame and
where your ground strap is attached. The owner of the web site
www.partsisparts can probably tell you anything you want to know, as he
does powdercoating at his shop.

I had the frame of my BSA cafe racer done last year and one thing you might do besides taping any threaded holes is taping up any holes where you have bolts going in where there are tight clearances. The powder coating builds up in the holes and makes them smaller. When I got my frame back I could not get the bolts into the shock mounts, foot pegs or the swing arm.
