I had the frame of my BSA cafe racer done last year and one thing you might
do besides taping any threaded holes is taping up any holes where you have
bolts going in where there are tight clearances. The powder coating builds
up in the holes and makes them smaller. When I got my frame back I could
not get the bolts into the shock mounts, foot pegs or the swing arm. I had
to use a X-acto knife and cut away the coating which was a pain. One other
thing I did on the steering head was use a automotive rubber expanding
freeze plug to seal them up.

Anyone have any do's or dont's when it comes to powdercoating? I'm taking
my frame and misc. pieces this week to have done, I've plugged threaded
holes and anything that looks like it shouldn't be coated, is this
necessary? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Dave
