Sport Cycles in Avon, NY can probably do the job or tell you who does
theirs, but why would you want to? Look, I know we all dream of having a
hot, high revving machine, but the Ambassador has some other limitations
that you should consider. The lack of a cush drive is one big reason (in
my book) to not lighten the flywheel. Like it or not, all that mass of
the flywheel does help to cushion the blows from the cylinders firing.
That, combined with a transmission that is, shall we say, "deliberate"
in nature certainly limits the utility of such a modification.
My $.02 worth, and as always, free advice is worth exactly what you pay
for it!

Hi All, I'm thinking about having the flywheel on my project Ambo lightened. Any recommendations on where to have it done? How much to do the deed? Thanks! Charlie |
