Just cut it in half.
seriously though, on the old BMWs it used to be 150 to have the fly wheel
lightened byLuftmeister or SJ BMW. The problem is not the lightening, but
the balancing. A good lightening job will leave enough meat to be
structurally sound and have the timing marks still intact then the machinist
will go back and balance the wheel. Which I believe to have more benefit
than the lightening...but that is me. I would think that any good machine
shop that does automotive work (racers) would be able to do the job. I'm
guessing the price is about the same.
