Thanks for the info guys. SOunds like it is another "fiddle til it works"
kinda thing on a guzzi. I'm used to that by now.
It runs great after timing it to the first mark. The problem is that when it
gets hot, it pings under 4th gear acceleration. That says slightly advanced,
or bad advance springs. It was suggested that Bob Nolan used a trick where
he removed one spring and it cured that problem.
I'm gonna try what I know first. I'll retard it a smidge. no dwell or tacho
so it's gonna be an adjust, ride adjust affair.

I believe that other loops came with a pulley marked 20 that was marked off correctly. I was told to place another mark on the pulley at 20 degrees to time the bike at full advance. I also remember it is a little difficult to get a direct line of sight on the marks at full advance so be careful you aren't off a bit - not that we all aren't off a bit anyway.
