You can't use a Marelli regulator with a Bosch generator & visa versa.

BTW you can use a Lucas (car) regulator with a Marelli gen.

I can't see why you can't use any starter that fits.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought I was told if you have a Marelli
starter, you can't use a Bosch in it's place, something to do with the
electronics of the bike, perhaps a Marelli generator/regulator not being
compatible with a Bosch starter???? Just wanted to mention it just in
case. As for the junkyard, wish there was one this way! If you find
any of those old style "boot guards", those 1/2 moon shaped guards that
bolt onto the valve covers, let me know, I'd like a set!

friend of his. and we go digging for the stuff.

Hanging around a junkyard on a sunny afternoon, drinking beer and
talking
bikes. Yeahhh!

why keep having rallies at campgrounds? They should be held in
junkyards.
