Barry,
I would check the compression. Also check to make sure your not leaking oil
from the upper end oil tubes.
As for the rr wheel, have you installed new brakes? Sometimes the shoes have
to be sanded down to size.

I finally got around to swapping out my bad shift shaft with the new
part... easy repair and well... I can shift now!
Anyhow, while I was making the repair, I noticed a couple of things:
1. My left cylinder appears to be slightly weeping oil just below the
exhaust header nut. The oil (very very slight amount) is running along
a cylinder fin towards the spark plug. As I was tracing (and cleaning)
its route... I decided to pull the plug. Looked pretty good... slight
oily residue though. What is this indicative of!??
2. While the bike was on the center stand I spun the rear wheel and
noticed a fairly significant amount of drag on it (yes it was in
neutral!... I double checked!). Is this normal?? (hard to define
"slight amount" without a way to really measure it... but if I give it a
good spin it only makes two or three revs.)
Any feedback appreciated.
Thanks,
Barry Dikeman
